A Different Kind of Real Estate Practice

Where Real Estate, Law & Financial Experience Come Together.

Attorney's desk with folded documents, a leather folder and a brass lamp in warm window light

Selling real estate is not always as simple as preparing a property, finding a buyer, and closing the transaction.

When property is connected to a divorce, probate proceeding, court order, receivership, financial dispute, or disagreement between parties, the transaction may involve additional legal, financial, and procedural considerations.

Worrell Real Estate Group was built for those matters.

Glyne D. Worrell combines decades of experience across real estate, law, banking, and finance with his current work as a licensed Realtor® and court-appointed Receiver. His professional background includes real estate transactions, regulatory compliance, due diligence, acquisitions and development, loan servicing and workouts, contract negotiations, creditors' rights, and complex financial matters.

That multidisciplinary experience allows Worrell Real Estate Group to approach complex property matters with an understanding that extends beyond the traditional real estate transaction.

Specialized Real Estate Services

Real Estate Solutions for Court-Involved & Complex Property Matters

01

Court-Appointed Receiver Services

When parties cannot agree on how property should be managed or sold, a court may appoint a Receiver to act under the authority of the court.

Depending upon the appointment and court orders, Glyne may be authorized to take control of property, preserve and protect the asset, address issues affecting its disposition, negotiate contracts, facilitate a sale, and carry out the court's directives.

02

Court-Appointed Realtor® Services

Certain matters require a qualified real estate professional to manage the sale of property pursuant to a court order or other legal proceeding.

As both an attorney and licensed Realtor®, Glyne brings an understanding of the legal context surrounding the property and the practical requirements of the real estate transaction.

03

Divorce-Related Real Estate

Real estate is often among the most significant assets that must be addressed during or following a divorce.

When spouses cannot agree about the disposition of jointly owned property—or when a court orders a property sold—the transaction can require additional coordination among the parties, their attorneys, the court, and real estate professionals.

Worrell Real Estate Group provides specialized real estate support for these circumstances.

04

Probate-Related Real Estate

Selling property associated with an estate can involve executors, administrators, beneficiaries, attorneys, and courts in addition to the traditional parties to a real estate transaction.

Worrell Real Estate Group provides real estate services for probate-related property matters requiring experienced coordination and a clear path toward disposition.

05

Court-Supervised Property Sales

Court involvement can add requirements and procedures that are not present in an ordinary real estate transaction.

Worrell Real Estate Group assists with property sales conducted pursuant to court orders and other court-supervised circumstances, bringing legal and real estate experience to the process.

06

Complex Real Estate Matters

Some transactions simply do not fit neatly into a traditional real estate model.

When property involves competing interests, financial concerns, legal proceedings, difficult circumstances, or other complications, Worrell Real Estate Group provides experienced real estate guidance informed by Glyne's broader legal and financial background.

Court-Appointed Receivership

When the Parties Can't Resolve the Property, the Court May Appoint Someone Who Can.

A receivership can become necessary when property is caught in an ongoing dispute and the parties are unable to agree on its management or disposition.

A court-appointed Receiver is an agent of the court whose authority comes from the court's appointment and orders.

Depending on the scope of that authority, the Receiver may be responsible for taking control of the property, protecting and preserving the asset, listing it for sale, negotiating contracts, addressing disputes affecting the transaction, and ultimately carrying out the court's directives concerning the property and proceeds.

Glyne's receivership work has developed primarily from appointments involving high-conflict family-law matters, and his goal is to continue expanding that experience into probate-related appointments.

Why Worrell Real Estate Group?

More Than a Realtor®. More Than a Legal Perspective.

A traditional Realtor® understands how to market and sell real estate.

An attorney understands legal proceedings.

Glyne's professional background brings those perspectives together.

As both a licensed attorney and Realtor®, Glyne can understand the legal context surrounding a court-involved property matter while managing the real estate considerations associated with its disposition.

That distinction becomes particularly meaningful in a receivership. Glyne has explained that matters can require legal filings and court appearances in addition to the real estate transaction—functions that a real estate professional who is not an attorney may require separate legal counsel to address.

Combined with decades of banking, finance, real estate, and legal experience, that background gives Glyne a multidisciplinary perspective on complex property matters.

A Resource for Complex Matters

Supporting Courts, Attorneys & Parties Through the Real Estate Process

Worrell Real Estate Group's work is different from a traditional real estate practice because the person who ultimately benefits from the sale is not always the person who initiates the relationship.

  • Courts & Court-Appointed Matters

Professional support for receiverships and real estate dispositions conducted pursuant to court authority.

  • Attorneys

A real estate resource for attorneys whose matters involve property that must be preserved, managed, marketed, or sold.

  • Mediators

Real estate experience that can support resolution when property becomes a significant component of settlement discussions.

  • Executors, Administrators & Fiduciaries

Real estate assistance for estate and probate-related property matters requiring coordination among multiple interested parties.

  • Parties & Property Owners

Guidance when legal proceedings, court orders, financial concerns, or disagreements make the sale of property more complicated than a traditional transaction.

Understanding the Process

What Happens When a Receiver Is Appointed?

The exact responsibilities of a Receiver depend on the court's order and circumstances of the matter. Generally, the process may include:

  1. 01

    Court Appointment

The court appoints a Receiver and defines the Receiver's authority and responsibilities.

  2. 02

    Property Assessment & Control

The Receiver evaluates the property and circumstances surrounding it and takes the actions authorized by the court to protect or manage the asset.

  3. 03

    Preparing for Disposition

Necessary issues affecting the property's marketability or sale are identified and addressed within the Receiver's authority.

  4. 04

    Marketing & Negotiation

When authorized, the property is marketed, offers are evaluated, and contracts are negotiated.

  5. 05

    Court Approval

When required, the proposed transaction and supporting information are presented to the court for approval.

  6. 06

    Closing & Court-Directed Resolution

Following required approvals, the transaction proceeds toward closing and funds are handled in accordance with the applicable court orders.

Divorce & Real Property

When the Marriage Ends but the Property Dispute Doesn't.

A divorce decree or settlement does not always make selling jointly owned real estate simple.

Parties may disagree about:

  • Whether or when to sell
  • Preparing the property for market
  • Repairs and expenses
  • Pricing
  • Access to the property
  • Accepting an offer
  • The logistics of completing the transaction

In high-conflict circumstances, continued disagreement can prevent a traditional sale from moving forward.

Glyne's receivership practice developed in part from these types of family-law matters, where courts may turn to receivership when parties remain unable to resolve the disposition of real property.

Worrell Real Estate Group brings an understanding of both the transaction and the legal environment surrounding it.

Probate & Estate Property

Navigating Real Estate When an Estate Is Involved.

Probate-related real estate can involve multiple decision-makers and interests, including executors or administrators, beneficiaries, attorneys, creditors, and the court.

Worrell Real Estate Group brings real estate, legal, banking, and financial experience to property matters arising in this environment.

As Glyne continues expanding his receivership and real estate work into probate matters, the goal remains the same: help move complex property toward an orderly resolution.
