A Different Path Toward Resolution

Not every family-law disagreement has to be resolved through continued courtroom conflict.

Mediation gives parties an opportunity to work toward resolving disputed issues with the assistance of a neutral mediator.

Blanca E. Espinosa is a certified mediator and provides mediation services for domestic-relations matters, including divorce, custody, child support, grandparents' rights, and other family matters.

Mediation can provide a structured setting for parties to discuss unresolved issues, explore potential solutions, and determine whether an agreement can be reached.

Why Consider Mediation?

Creating Space for Productive Resolution

Every case is different, and mediation does not guarantee that the parties will reach an agreement. However, it can create an opportunity for productive discussion outside of a traditional contested hearing.

Depending on the circumstances, mediation may allow parties to:

  • 01

Identify the issues that remain unresolved

Focus the conversation on the decisions preventing the matter from moving forward.

  • 02

    Explore potential solutions

Consider options and compromises in a structured environment.

  • 03

Maintain greater participation in the outcome

Work toward an agreement rather than leaving every disputed issue for a court to decide.

  • 04

    Reduce continued conflict

Provide a setting focused on resolution rather than escalating disagreement.

  • 05

    Move the matter forward

Resolve some or all disputed issues when an agreement can be reached.

Family Law + Real Estate

When Divorce & Real Property Intersect

Real estate can become one of the most significant and complicated assets involved in a divorce.

Questions may arise concerning whether a property will be retained or sold, when a sale should occur, how the property should be prepared and marketed, or what happens when the parties cannot cooperate in completing a court-ordered sale.

The Worrell Law Firm has a unique resource for these circumstances.

Through Worrell Real Estate Group, Glyne D. Worrell focuses on court-appointed receiverships, divorce-related real estate, court-supervised property sales, and other complex real estate matters.

This gives the broader Worrell organization experience on both sides of an important intersection: family law and real property.
